Gas Appliance Installation The Hill
Gas appliance installation in The Hill means connecting a new cooktop, oven, barbecue or pool heater to your gas supply, and running extra pipe where it's needed. A licensed fitter does it and certifies it. Ring (02) 4063 1093 with the model, and we price it as a fixed figure.
Other gas jobs. Your plumber in The Hill also repairs lines and tests old pipe, all listed on the gas fitting hub.

What can a licensed gas fitter install here?
What we connect:
- Cooktops and wall ovens in terrace kitchens and apartment conversions, including disconnecting the old unit during a renovation
- BBQ points on balconies and in courtyards, with the new line run, sized and tested
- Pool heaters and outdoor appliances, connected to a metered supply
- New gas lines and extensions to a kitchen, laundry or rooftop plant room where an appliance is moving or being added
Smell gas at the old connection? Book gas leak detection first. Gas water heaters are fitted through our hot water team.
Can the line carry the new appliance?
Before the new appliance goes on, we check:
- The existing line is tested for pressure and tightness before anything is connected
- The appliance's draw is checked against the pipe that will feed it, because an undersized run gives weak flames at the cooktop
- Old lines in pre-1940 rows are inspected for dated fittings below current standard
- The finished connection is pressure-tested and commissioned, and you get the paperwork

Pipe, connect, light
Any new pipe goes in, the appliance is fixed and joined, the supply holds test pressure, and each burner is lit and adjusted.

Covered for a year
Every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work. If something we did isn't right, ring the same number.
What goes into the quote?
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
An install is priced on:
- How much new line the job needs, since a point next to the meter is a shorter run than a balcony on the far side of the building
- What the existing pipe is made of, because a dated line that needs a replacement section adds to the work
- Stairs and doorways, since a wall oven carried up three flights of a terrace takes two people and time
- Evening or weekend work at the after-hours rate
Installs on a steep ridge

What customers say
We had an urgent gas problem that required immediate attention at our home…on a Friday afternoon. … Identified the issue, fixed and tested
When we're not the right call
A new oven that needs its own power circuit, or a cooktop igniter that has no outlet to plug into, needs an electrician. We handle the gas side of the same job.
Gas appliance questions from The Hill
Do you install gas cooktops in The Hill apartment buildings?
Yes, where the building already has a gas supply to your flat. We connect the cooktop, test the joint and certify it. Bringing gas into a block that has none needs the owners corporation's approval first.
Can you run a new gas line out to a balcony BBQ point?
Yes, in most layouts. The new pipe is sized for the barbecue, routed along the outside wall and tested under pressure, and anything facing the ocean gets corrosion-rated fittings. One price covers the pipe and the bayonet point.
Does an old terrace need new pipework before a gas oven goes in?
Not always. We test the existing pipe first. If it leaks, or is too small for the oven's load, the length that needs renewing is priced in the same quote as the oven connection.
Is a licensed gas fitter legally required for the connection?
Yes. NSW law says only a licensed gas fitter may connect or disconnect a gas appliance, even for a few days while a kitchen is renovated. The fitter who does the work signs the certificate of compliance.
